Psycho CG Set Exstension

Project Overview

A CG set extension to a live action film. The model had to be created using only NURBs surfaces in three weeks. This was a test in recreating not just the model, but the textures and the lighting. This process taught me about the differences in textures close-up versus far away.

A Closer Look

The psycho house is a famous landmark from movies, therefore, the details must be right. The challenge was to create the model using NURBs. This led to an investigation and research on how NURBs would create such a hard-surfaced object. The results, NURBS allowed for precision in proportions and worked better for the railings and beams, than the structure itself..
