Starting from a single building design, I created this Japanese street to work through a cohesive town that feels living and worn.
Environment Breakdown
Each of the buildings were modeled in Maya and textured in Substance Painter to match an overall style pallet. They were created to be mass multiplied to create an overall city street.
UVs UDIM Breakdown
For this project I experimented with the UDIM layout pipeline. This allowed me to achieve a consistent texel density across materials, thus allowing me to match both the concrete base with the hinges in the windows. I also make sure that all geometry is cleanly modeled and UV unwrapped to make sure they have no artifacts and can be cleanly textured.
